Search Disciplines

Four Resumes?

Why, one might ask, would someone post three or four résumés? The reasons are as diverse as the interests reflected in the résumés. I have been happy working in many environments and would be pleased to find myself in any of these (or other) fields in the future. However I thought it prudent to pick a few areas and focus specific and formal emphasis in my job search. The résumés present a range of skills and qualifications from that of digital imaging technician all the way up through executive business management. Such diversity of interests reflects that income is not my primary focus in selecting a position. I am much more interested in the character of the firm and people that I join and the environment in which I would work.

My objective in conducting a job search is to find an excellent fit between the wants, needs, assets, and characteristics that I possess and those of the firm I join.

I offer prospective employers:
  • Integrity
  • Compatibility
  • Initiative
  • Leadership
  • Intelligence

I seek in a firm:
  • Business Integrity
  • Service Orientation
  • Respect for Employees
  • Social Consciousness
  • A Healthy and Fun Environment!

Location / Relocation

I am a native Northern Californian and presently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. While I love the Bay Area and would prefer to stay here, I am willing to relocate if an opportunity is attractive. Please don't consider location a significant barrier to our discussions or my acceptance of an offer. As I mention in the paragraphs above, work environment is my highest priority.

On Salary "Requirements"

I don't state any specific salary "requirements" on any of my résumés or cover letters. If appropriate, we can negotiate an equitable salary commensurate with the skills, requirements, and responsibilities of a particular position. My view on salary is that I would like to receive fair and equitable compensation for the work I do. I am cognizant of regional variations in cost of living and also of the varying quality of living in different cities and regions. In general, I would prefer a good benefits package to a higher salary and for positions justifying higher compensation I am agreeable to alternative compensation plans in lieu of an exorbitant salary. If it comes to a point where we need to discuss salary, I would be pleased to entertain any reasonable offer.
