Kotowski, the Kotowski family (unknown husband, wife Josephine, and children John J., Peter, Frank [? born 1889]) immigrated from Poland in 1889, settling in the Denver area. Joseph, Andrew, and possibly Mary (birthdate unknown) were subsequently born in the Denver area.

[NI0935] At the time of Martin Foraker's death in Fresno (March, 1944), James was reportedly living in Los Angeles. Martin was James' half-brother, they both having Mary Haley as their mother.

[NI1004] Rebecca Stoltz is listed by Cameron Allen as "Mrs. Rebecca Stoltz" and the second wife of Thomas Middagh. Stoltz was apparently her married name, suggesting she was also married (at least) twice.

(Note: Company G of the 31st Ohio Volunteers was also Alexander Robert Shaffer's Company. They were cousins, John being AR's mother's brother's son.)

[NI1024] Extract of the will of Adriaen Hendrickse Aten, dated March 20, 1695/6: wife Elizabeth Aten. His wife's son by a former marriage by the name of Lubbert Gybertson: daughter Maritta Aten. [NI1045] Moses and his family came to Marshfield, Webster Co., MO. 1848-1850, originally from Virginia, and having passed through Ohio on the way.

[NF002] A copy of the marriage certificate for Margaret and Martin was obtained from the Colorado State Archives. It reads, in part, as follows.

I, A. B. Cook, a Clergyman residing in Golden in the County of Jefferson in the State of Colorado, do hereby certify that, in accordance with the authority on me conferred by the above License, I did, on this 12 day of April A.D. 1899, at Golden in the County of Jefferson in the State of Colorado, solemnize the Rites of Matrimony between Martin Foraker of Denver in the County of Arap in the State of Colorado, and Maggie Loftus of Denver in the County of Arap in the State of Colorado, in the presence of (illegible) and (illegible).

[NF081] Marriage of Georgia A. (Hogan/Graham) and Ezekial Letterman performed June 24, 1885 at Marshfield, Mo. by Rev. Davis and witnessed by S. Benfer and Mrs. S. Benfer.

[NF109] Linda and Larry were actually married first on 5/27/1973, then again "officially" on 2/9/1974. There must be an interesting story in there someplace!

[NF156] Brian and Kimberly were married at the Bride's parent's home in Fowler California.
